twelve days left
So I'll admit it...I'm absolutely giddy! Only two more days of work and then I am done with my job at SHR...forever! I think that deserves a big WOOT! Oh the joys of moving on with my life, the excitement of trying something new and daring to strive for more than the here and now. That dream is what keeps us all going isn't it? And I am excited beyond belief.
Today I received my visa issuance certificate via UPS from the school in Korea. So now I can head up to Chicago next week to finally get the working visa stamped on my passport. After that I'll be ready to go! I also got my luggage yesterday and have all of my clothes packed up already. Granted I still have to move out all my furniture and things but since I don't have to work at all after Thursday I'm not too worried about it. There's still enough time left before I leave.
Friday night my friends and I are going out for a sort of going away-type thing. We'll probably go to dinner and then maybe out for drinks or something. Right now there's already a bunch of people coming, so it should be fun. I just hope everyone can make it so I have a chance to see all of my friends before I leave.
Looks like everything's coming together...

I know how you feel...it was almost 3 years ago that I first came to Korea. Getting on that plane unsure of what to expect, but so excited to finally be on my way...it's been a long time since that day back in 2002, but I'll never forget it.
