This past weekend my friend Dan and I spent the day eating galbi (Korean barbeque), getting coffee & walking around COEX mall gawking at all the nifty toys in the Apple & O'Link stores. After that I didn't feel much like going home, so he and I wandered around Gangnam looking for signs, products or advertisements touting the ever-popular Korean catch phrase "well-being". So what is well-being you ask? From the below images I don't think anyone can say for sure...
See for yourself.
To start we have some well-being rice (the well-being is written in Korean).
well-being soymilk
well-being meat?
well-being fruit
well-being sports bracelets
Here is a well-being restaurant where you can buy well-being for 3,000 won.
a well-being beer hof
well-being drinks
well-being music
well-being sandwiches
well-being salad
well-being frozen yogurt
a well-being chocolate cake snack
a well-being sushi restaurant
well-being soup
an advertisement for the YMCA
the well-being sushi roll
well-being peppermint tea
well-being coffee
well-being popcorn snack
well-being cookies
well-being biscuits
a magazine article all about the essence of well-being...go fig
not well-being per se, but close enough

I think it's some sort of marketing ploy to keep the citizens from becoming depressed.
